Yiwu International Trade City District 4: the floor plan, floor by floor
More than 16,000 booths of soft goods and daily-use products sit in District 4, one category band per floor. This guide reads the official floor plan level by level and shows how the floors connect.
Yiwu markets: Yiwu International Trade City District 4
The building in outline
District 4 opened on 21 October 2008 with around 1.08 million square metres of floor area, more than 16,000 booths and over 19,000 business entities. It is the Trade City's centre of gravity for soft goods.
The plan is simple to hold in your head: hosiery below, daily-use goods and cold-weather accessories next, then footwear and yarn, and underwear and scarves above. Support services for logistics, e-commerce, trade and finance sit alongside the trading floors.
Floor 1: hosiery
Floor 1 is hosiery: socks and related knit goods from a long run of booths. Ranges differ by yarn, knit structure, sizing and packaging, and the same visual style can sit at several quality levels along one aisle.
Ask each stall what is held in stock and what is made to order. Stocked lines move quickly and suit smaller orders; made-to-order lines open the specification but take longer.
Floor 2: daily-use goods, gloves, hats and needle cotton
Floor 2 mixes household daily-use goods with gloves, hats and needle-cotton products. For seasonal buyers this floor is the winter-accessories stop, and it pairs naturally with the hosiery below.
Daily-use goods range widely in grade. Compare two or three stalls on the same item before pricing anything, and check the packaging, since household goods are often re-packed for export.
Floor 3: footwear, yarn and towels
Floor 3 carries footwear together with thread and tape, lace, ties, wool yarn and towels. The yarn and lace stalls make this floor useful to knitwear and apparel buyers, not only to footwear buyers.
Towels and ties sit near the yarn stalls for a reason: weight and yarn quality decide both. Bring a specification with weights and composition on it, and the floor becomes searchable rather than overwhelming.
Floor 4: underwear, belts and scarves
Floor 4 holds bras and underwear, belts and scarves. Underwear buyers should arrive with size curves and fabric composition in writing, since those two factors drive both price and fit.
Scarves close the loop with floor 3's yarn: a scarf quoted on floor 4 can often be re-specified on floor 3 in a different yarn and quoted again. The floors are one supply chain, read from bottom to top.
Floor layouts change as tenants rotate; verify against the current floor plan on arrival.
