Small appliances and electrical goods in Yiwu
Small appliances sit on floor 3 of International Trade City District 2, alongside kitchen and bath hardware, telecom equipment, clocks and electronic instruments. Floor 4 of the same district carries regional halls and factory direct-sales units, and the production materials market covers LED lighting and industrial electrical equipment on floor 3.
This is the Yiwu category with the heaviest electrical compliance burden, and the one where the trading floor and the manufacturing belt are most clearly separated.
What to check before you order
Ask which safety standard the product is built to, which mark it carries, and who applied it. For electrical goods this is the question that decides whether the goods can be sold in the destination market at all.
Ask about the plug, the voltage and the certification of the exact model you are ordering, since suppliers often hold approvals for one variant and not another.
Where the mistakes happen
A sample that works is not a sample that is compliant. The failure mode is a unit with the right appearance and the wrong internal components, which inspection against a written specification catches and a photograph does not.
Second failure: mixing models in one carton to meet a price, so the shipment contains a fraction of goods you cannot sell in the destination market.
We do not publish per-stall prices. Ask each supplier for the unit price at three quantities and at the same specification, and treat any level quoted on this page as a starting point for negotiation rather than a market rate.
Product categories are maintained by us as a taxonomy; they are not a claim about any factory's certification or capacity.
