International Trade City Area (Futian Market), Yiwu
Yiwu International Trade City District 1
One market building opened 22 October 2002 on a 420 mu site with 340,000 m2 of floor space, split into five business areas (main market, factory direct-sales centre, sourcing centre, warehouse centre and food centre). Floor plan: 1 flowers and toys; 2 hair accessories and jewellery; 3 craft gifts, ornaments and picture frames; 4 factory direct-sales centre and Taiwan merchants hall.
What buyers should know
Toys and artificial flowers are on floor 1 and jewellery and hair accessories on floor 2, so buyers covering several categories can do it in one building.
More than 90% of booths take export business and the district reports an export share above 60%: most sellers here are used to overseas orders.
The building lets vehicles onto floors 2 to 4, which matters when you leave with cartons instead of samples.
